Everything is greyed out and there is an exclamation point there but not sure what it is for and how to solve it?

Have you tried "switching on" Colorize?

That's what I meant by it is greyed out, it will not let me turn any of them on.

Try ticking "Use Graphics Processor" found under the Performance tab in Photoshop preferences, then closing a reopening the application.
