updated to v26.3 and adding to text layers now results in default font

Lets say I have a text layer and need to edit it. If I go in and add text, that text is always in the default font (Myriad Pro, ugh) no matter what I do. I am constantly having to highlight my text and change the font back to what it's supposed to be. How can I resolve this issue?

Have you tried resetting preferences?

Me too, Super frustrating. Used Potatoshop for 20 years and never had this. 

For me, it goes:

• I type something in a text box. 
• I copy paste that text box somewhere else. 
• When I go to overwrite that text, it defaults back to Myriad. 
• Thus, I manually have to change the font back each and every time. 

No plugins, nothing weird. 26.3.0.
