Using healing brush and patch blending

Hi,

I have a question about using the healing brush and patch tools. I am trying to follow the instructions that I see on the YouTube channels, but I am having two problems that I was hoping that someone could help me with.

  1.  When I use the patch, instead of what I encircled duplicating and then moving to the destination that I am trying to bring it to, it will not duplicate, but rather where I move the circle it will copy that image at the destination and move it to the source.
  2.  Also, the patch will and the healing brush source will blend with the destination, and I want it to just replace the destination entirely.

Please advise. Thank you.Screenshot 2024-07-29 095512.pngScreenshot 2024-07-29 095425.png

If the current Patch-behaviour is not what you want have you tried »Destination« instead of »Source«?

I wonder if you might actually want the Behaviour of the Clone Stamp Tool?
