Vanishing Oil Paint Modal Window

The Oil Paint modal window does not appear when selecting Filter --> Stylize --> Oil Paint... .

The effect works but the modal window does not appear, making adjusting filter settings impossible.

Other Stylize filters do work correctly, showing their modal windows and allowing adjustments.

I am using Photoshop 22.4.2 release on macOS 10.14.6, Radeon RX 580 8GB, 96GB RAM.

Problem solved. Even the Layer Style Blending Options modal window (a fundamental Photoshop feature) was hidden, making Photoshop mostly useless until the problem was fixed.

The solution was a total uninstall of Creative Cloud, followed by running the Creative Cloud cleaner tool, and a reinstall.
