Verifying Photoshop 2022 message and app will not open

So my computer just did an update to PS 2022 and the new LR update and now PS won't open at all. I get a 'verifying' message. This message also started appearing when trying to open any Microsoft Office programmes a while ago and they too don't open but I've made do with OneDrive.
Can anyone help me? I've got a tonne of clients waiting for work and at the moment my workflow is horrendous.
Please help!

Did you restart the computer after the update and try launching Photoshop by itself prior to launching Lightroom?
