Very slow running Photoshop for simple tasks

I need some help with my Photoshop. the program is running super slow all the time. I can not cut a picture without using 5-10 minutes to wait for it to cut. When I want to generate some AI it can go all day trying to suggest something. SO, its not working at all. I have been trough step by step guides and tried everything I can find online to solve this problem. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall Photoshop. I have worked through GUP and RAM tests and so on.

I have a brand new mac (Macbook Air, Apple M3, 16 GB,)
I have the latest update on the system (macOS Sonoma version 14.5)
I have the lastest version of Photoshop 2024 (I have tried older versions as well)

I only want to fix some pictures for the web, so I don't work with big projects.

What can i do?

@NewinPhotos when it comes to AI - internet speeds make a huge difference. If you are on  WiFi make sure you are connected via 5 ghz and not dual band or 2.4 ghz.

Other than that go to Help Menu/System Info and copy/paste the results here. Cutting out a photo shouldn't take that long if you are working locally and not on a server/network connection.
