Weird mouse behavour

When ever I am selecting part of an image for masking, and I realease the left mouse button this happensRelease left mouse button after selecting what i want

This does not occur when I use the brush tool

Just the brush tool

Can someone please tell me what to do to solve this issue as it is extremely annoying. I have tried using multiple mice, but no success. it is impossible to mask stuff with this problem. Please help.

There is an ON1 photo plug-in that doesnt work and can't seem to get rid of. I do't want it so it doesn't matter.

It is the lateest version of PS the 21.1. Alot of people have been having problems, try uninstalling that version and install the previous versionn 21.0.3, that fixed my problems. I am also surprised that Adobe ahas not come up with a patch for the latest version yet. This has been an ongoinbg problem fopr at least 2-3 weeks.

Thank you for the information. The behavior you are facing seems similar to an ongoing issue with Windows 7 users on Windows 7 where drawing actions are snapping to the top left corner. In your case it is strange that the same behavior is not showing up in the case of brush strokes.

Same issue.

Mine is related to the mouse left button release getting out of sync with the movement of the mouse....

for large files.

huge RAM and a high end processor on Win 10 64 pro  

If i slow down my mouse activity, it does not happen.

HISTORY LIST: choosing two steps prior    removes the errant flying-saucer strokes of the brush.

It's as if the program never "sees" the MOUSE BUTTON RELEASE.

I'm usually able to "type-ahead" (make many mouse gestures) and the CPU will catch up CORRECTLY.

But occasionally it gets behind and loses track of a button release event.
