When I animate using Photoshop. Computer restarts after 20-30 minutes

Photoshop works great for me (I use a Cintiq) but if I animate using photoshop...after 20-30 minutes the computer freezes and restarts. I even let Adobe tech get into my computer. We thought it was fixed but the next day...same deal... Anyone? I have updated everything.

I'll need more info to understand what could be wrong here. Share the system info of Photoshop from Help > System info > Copy & paste here as a response or into a text document > upload to Creative Cloud files (https://assets.adobe.com/files) and share here.

Open Event Viewer from Windows Search.

Go to Windows Logs > Application Logs & look for Error & Warning logs.

Hi @Tim25078026kzl4 how much scratch disk space (Preferences/Scratch disk) and how much free HD space do you have?

Scratch and memory use. I just set history states back to 30 from it's setting witch was 50.

Your computer does nto meet minimum system requirements for Photoshop:

You only have 5 GB of available RAM and only a little over 3 GB allocated. Photoshop minimums are 8 GB of dedicated (available not total) RAM.

That is your main issue. Only having 100 GB of scratch disk also is a concern but that is moot with the underpowered RAM.

You'll need to upgrade your hardward to run Photoshop effectively.

Ah.

I did find an article that suggested i buy new SSD with thunderbolt . Thus letting photoshop run on an separtate scratch disc. Thanks!

@Tim25078026kzl4 you buried the headline. Buying a new SSD will not solve your issue. You do not have enough RAM to run Photoshop.
