When I export a GIF from photoshop in won't play

I feel like I've done everything correctly. I'm choosing to save for web, the looping option is forever, and I selected GIF. I've tried different file sizes.

What else is there to check?

Could you please post screenshots with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Timeline, Layers, Options Bar, …) visible?

Edit: Does the Animation run properly when started from the Timeline Panel?

Yes, runs properly in the timeline and the preview. I'll update with screenshots soon. Thanks!

Also, how are you testing the exported GIF? In the Finder (QuickLook), in one or more web browsers…?

That's the important question Conrad.   Mike needs to open the GIF file back into Photoshop and view the timeline.

No, I was interested in which GIF viewer was being used outside of Photoshop to proof the animation in case it was a quirk of the GIF viewer.

The title has the word “export” in it, so I assumed the animation plays fine in the Timeline panel but not after exporting and viewing outside of Photoshop.
