When opening Photoshop on mac getting error "Could not complete your request......"

hi!

this may be an obvious answer, but i am having trouble opening photoshop on my mac.  i have never had this issue before.  all apps up to date, creative cloud paid up, getting this error when attempting to open. 

"Could not complete your request
because Photoshop was unable
to communicate with Creative
Cloud Desktop."

Which version of Photoshop and macOS are you using? Did you try re-downloading the application?

Please reinstall the Creative Cloud Application using the steps: https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html.
