Where has the "Preserve Image Dimensions When Relinking" checkbox gone?

There used to be a "Preserve Image Dimensions When Relinking" checkbox in the Links section of the Files handling tab in Photoshop settings. Now I can't find it anywhere.

I have a few dozen linked files to update in a PSD file, but when I update any or all of them, they get reset to their original dimensions, notwithstanding the scaling transformation I applied to them.

I've tried enabling / disabled the different importation and update related options under the General tab, but none seemed to address this issue. It's a real pain and a waste of time for lack of an option that used to be available.

That is an option for Adobe InDesign.

As far as i know, Photoshop has never had such an option.
