Why am I seeing a translucent red when painting black on an adjustment layer?  Painting white seems to work fine.

Hi @stevenl82346293 could you share more of what is going on, what you are seeing? Could you share a screenshot of your desktop and your workflow, when did this start happening, does it happen with all images, have you restarted your computer and does it persist?

 

It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.
