Why is the Generative Fill going beyond the selection edges?

I am trying to generate a simple stethoscope. Why does the generative fill extend BEYOND the selection edges. None of the results are usable. Is this a known defect?

I cannot see any reason why that would be an accepted or wanted behavior to generate the image beyond the edges of the selection. Makes the whole thing useless IMO

I had to pivot so I don't have that exact file anymore. But here is a video of behavior. And a PSD file. Any insight would be appreciated! A stethoscope should be super easy for AI, I would think.

Hello? Is there any more info on why the generative fill extends beyond its own selection? I shared a video of the behavior and the PSD file itself. But no more replies...?
