Windows Photoshop 24.1.1 stops responding

Photoshop continually stops responding after 15-20 minutes working on a file, with multiple saves during the work session. It does this on my tower and my laptop both running Windows, both have 64g of Ram and plenty of disk space.

If I select a tool, the cursor does not update on the screen and the tool itself does not work even though it is selected. I can still save the file. I have to close it and re-open it to get back functionality.

Hi @DodoBee can you go to Photoshop Help Menu/System info and copy and paste the details back.

Second, you say you have plenty of disk space but how much free/available HD space and what is your allocated Scratch Disk space (Preferences/Scratch Disk).

Normally when PS becomes non-responsive after a period of time its due to a lack of resources. Normally this could be HD/scratch disk space, but could also be RAM if you changed your Preferences/Performance to allot 90% or more to Photoshop.
