Zoom in Wacom intuos 5 + Photoshop bug

Hello.
I have this really disastrous bug when using Photoshop (ver 23.5) + my wacom intuos 5 pen + touch  (M) tablet. When I zoom in and use hand to navigate the canvas my notebook( MSI stealth gs66; windows 11) freezes the application (I can still save the document, but other buttons and canvas do not respond)  and notebook's cooler system starts working in extreme mode. 
The issue does not occur when I use my mouse or turn off the graphics processor (the latest creates other annoying issues so it's not really the solution).
I've updated my drivers for wacom (though this version of my tablet seems a bit old, and does not have specific new drivers for solely for this model. only general ones), and graphic ones, so everything seems up to date.

Please help me solve this problem, thank you in advance!

Have you contated WACOM to see if they have any updates/suggestions for your setup?

Let's make sure we're in a default state and there are no stale settings somewhere:

Does it work correctly? 

If that doesn't solve it, you can quit Photoshop and put the Settings folder back.

@CoryShubert Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately, those steps didn't help, the same problem occurs. 
I sent the same message to Wacom support today, they haven't yet replied. Ill write here their answer if they reply.
Maybe anything else we could try to do with Photoshop options? I saw some people on this forum had similar problems, but newer photoshop versions seemed to fix it for them.

Go to Preferences > Technology Previews... and check "Disable Native Canvas" - then restart Photoshop. Does the problem still occur?

Tried disabling native canvas - problem still occurs, but in a different way - the canvas still freezes, but notebook's coolers dont enter extreme performance mode.

Does this issue happen when the Wacom tablet is NOT connected? Two more things to try:

Go to Preferences > Performance... and uncheck Multithreaded Compositing - and restart Photoshop. Does the problem persist? 

Go to Preferences > Performance... click Advanced Settings... and uncheck "GPU Compositing" - then restart Photoshop. Does the problem still occur?

Thank you for the reply.
1) Even if the tablet is connected and I use mouse for navigation after zooming in - I experience no bugs. Also tried to do as you say, with no tablet connected - still works just fine.
2) Im afraid my options menu looks a bit different - when I press advanced setting this is the window that opens, I dont see
GPU Compositing box: 
I've unchecked the Use graphics processor box, (that's the only way I can work properly in Photoshop now) but it creates other annoying issues (like visual glitches on the canvas), so it's not really comfortable to work this way.
Bonus info : Wacom support asked me to try using wacom tablet with a different application to make sure the problem occurs only with photoshop - I've downloaded Krita and zoom+hand navigation works fine, I experience no bugs. But it's not the solution of course, Photoshop is my essnetial instrument for work.

Hi @Natalie94 

I think what Cory meant to say is to suggest trying to use the WinTab work around to see if that resolve the problem. 
Here is how to enable that:

Create a text (.txt) file, .rtf won't work
name the file PSUserConfig.txt and type this into it: UseSystemStylus 0

Save and close it.  Then move it into your Photoshop Preferences folder on your HD.  It should be here:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2022\Adobe Photoshop 2022 Settings\
Then go into your Wacom settings (on the Calibrate tab) and uncheck Use Windows Ink.
Then restart Photoshop

Please, stop saying to use the PSUserConfig.txt file, It adds a rather awkward lag in use. As you can see in the attached video.
