When pasting from Illustrator into Photoshop, text boxes should have the option to paste as a type layer (similar to paste as a shape layer). This feature would allow you to work with typography in Illustrator and easily bring it back into Photoshop to streamline the workflow.
[In the latest release (v23.0) the new paste as layers option became available, but it rasterizes all the text boxes and doesn't allow any further edits within Photoshop.]
