Photoshop: Align layers using the masked areas

If I have several layers selected, the alignment tools are very useful. However, if any of the layers are masked, the alignment is to the whole layer, not the visible (masked) area. It would be very useful to have the option of aligning the visible layers.

This is an excellent idea Constance. Introducing an option to Align Layers in respect to their Layer Masks rather then in respect to the content of the layer would be a great addition worth considering.

I wrote a couple of scripts in that topic which are limited to aligning mask to canvas, aligning to selection would be a bonus!
