Correction for rolling shutter is time consuming and not always 100% successful. Can Adobe begin developing a neural filter that detects and correct rolling shutter in photographs?
This is two things actually. One is distortion of moving objects (or moving camera) - the other is the stripes you may get with flickering LED lights.
I try to avoid the e-shutter as much as possible on my Sonys. When I have to use it, it can be tricky to find the "safe" shutter speed range. In the heat of the moment there isn't always time for extensive trial and error.
Unfortunately, indoor LED-lit scenarios are precisely those situations where you may need to avoid shutter clicks. Manually correcting these stripes can be a nightmare. Seems like a perfect job for AI.
Correcting motion distortion is very difficult, sometimes almost rebuilding the whole image. Might be trickier even for AI. I assume some manual input reference would be needed..
One more thing: since this is mainly a consideration for photographers, it might be an idea to post it in the Lightroom forum as well. Just to pick up votes, which I think it deserves.
