Split Selections to Individual Multiple Layers

I would love to be able to automatically create multiple individual layers from a selected transparent imagem with multiple selections on it. Current scripts (like Selection 2 Layers and SO to Islands) are deficient and don't work very well with any kind of image because they work with masks not the actual selections. We definitely need this natively, which is surprising it still doesn't exist in 2024.

Please provide a sample file to illustrate, or at least a before and after screenshot with the layers panel visible.

Hey, Stephen! I actually made it work now! It does work like a charm, indeed! Thank you very much! Although I really would like this to come natively with Photoshop. What happened is that I had some little tiny leftovers around the rocks and that was preventing it to separate them appropriately.

I have recommended that script myself more than once.

I have added my vote for this as a native feature.
