Hello,

I need some help. All of a sudden all the Actions are in the "normal" view mode invisible.

The other is showing them. But as long as I don't see them in "normal" mode I cannot save or export them for savety reasons.

Does anybody has any ideas what this can be?

My System is Mac OS 10.15.7 and I am using PS 2020 (21.2.9)

I just reconized that on my PS 2021 the same issue appears.

Thank you,

Cheers,

Florian

I am not aware of a definite limitation on the number of Actions, but I suspect you may have gone a bit far

with Actions…

What have you done for all-purpose trouble-shooting so far?

Restoring Preferences after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved might be a good starting point:

Hi!

Yes I think I have/had too many Actions in the "main" Folder.

I deleted the Actions Palette.psp file in the Libary, restarted Photoshop and had to start from scratch (only the standard Actionfolder was there).

The thing that in the buttonview all actions all the actions where still there and clickable.

After the first "shock" and the knowledge that not all actions are gone for ever I learned something new.

But yes; as you said: I think there were too many actions...

Thank you very much,

Flo

Just make sure to occasionally save the most important Actions and back them up (that also applies to Brushes, Patterns, etc.).

True!

Luckily I save all my fundamental actions (brushes etc) frequently. But
things like that happen always exactly than when I think: "Ah, all fine; I
ll do the backup the next days!" 😉

Perhaps try using xtools script to export them to .atn file:
