So I logged in PS a few days ago and all the brushes were gone. Not just the custom brushes I'd downloaded, but all of the default ones too; including kyle's dry media and wet media brushes, and the splatter brushes that came with the last few versions of PS CC. And since there's no more "reset brushes" tool in the drop down settings menu, I can't figure out how to get them back. Weirdly the brush history bar displayed the last few brushes I'd used when I'd last been in the app (all of which were brushes that mysteriously disappeared), but they weren't in the brush panel. Anyone else experience this?

Hi there,
Sorry that your custom brush library in Photoshop is missing after a recent app update.
Please checkout the steps to recover your brushes mentioned in this article https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/presets-actions-plugins.html and let us know if that helps.
It seems that the Preferences in Creative Cloud desktop was left marked checked when you updated the app. To keep or not keep prior version preferences (which includes presets, brushes, actions, workspaces), make sure that's unchecked: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/uptodate.html
Otherwise, make back ups of your user library to make copies of your preferences and presets. Locations can be found here: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/preference-file-names-locations-photoshop.html
Thanks,
Akash
