Alt, option, cmd, shift confusion when using any of these keys in PS

Since updating to ps 2020 ive had a recuring issue that when the alt/option/cmd/shift buttons are used by them selves or along side other keys, doing anything from transforming, resizing brushes, isolating layers, these keys lag HARD and they lag far worse the larger the image is. When im trying to use these keys, its like the buttons will skip through each key (alt, opt, cmd, shift) so you have to press the key you want to be using over and over until it works. For example if I want to resize my brush (cmd + option wacom pen side to side) it will bring the eye dropper tool up or the brush menu tool up.

This is ruining my day to day work performance, making it much longer to work on any images. Ive tried updating my software swapping to other macs, even now buying a brand new mac, hoping that will resolve the issue, but it is completely just this PS bug causing it.

What are your specs?

Specific PS version, Computer OS, RAM, HD space, Scratch Disk space, Graphics card(s), VRAM

You mention two issues - modifier key lag and then using a Wacom pen.

Have you checked your Wacom settings since upgrading your Photoshop to make sure the default Photoshop Wacom settings (in Wacom preferences) is not conflicting or effecting this in some way?

Speaking of Wacom, did you update your Wacom driver after upgrading your PS?
