Best Drop Shadow Settings? Methods?

Hello, Creatives

The default drop shadow settings in blending options are disappointing. I was wondering if anyone had any custom settings or methods they use to make this feature more appealing to the viewer and give my projects more depth. I usually just play with the distance, size, and spread bars until I get something that looks acceptable but there's got to be a more consistent and effective preset. I would love to hear from you all.

Use multiple drop shadows with different values.

Mix things up a little with bevel/emboss and stroke values, too.

When you're done, save the custom Layer Style by clicking the New Style button and give your new style a name.

To access your custom Layer Style later, go to Window > Styles panel.

Hope that helps.
