Brush tool: Pen tilt constantly enabled

After updating to PS 2021 some of my custom brushes have become pencil presets? These brushes now constantly have pen tilt enabled, despite it not being Active in brush settings. Not sure what changed. The only notable clue is the brushes now have pencil icons instead of brush-shape icons. 

 

How can I change my brushes back or disable pen tilt?  

I've tried clearing and re-opening my .abr files. No luck.

have you tried to reset your Adobe Photoshop preferences?
