You can try to use script which ships with Photoshop from File > Scripts > Image Processsor or online converter https://convertio.co/jfif-jpeg/

File > Scripts > Image Processsor works for convertion png to jpg but if I upload jfif files it doesn't see them. So the only option is online converter?

Here is similar topic on feedback site https://feedback.photoshop.com/conversations/photoshop/photoshop-support-jfif-file-format-directly/5...

It seems jfif can be open in Photoshop in 21.1.1 Release. Perhaps you or someone else who is skilled needs to change few lines in script, I am not capable of doing that.

Why you are not using batch renaming in Bridge to get things done?

No, an online converter would be useless, practically a trick. Like I said, the files are already JPEG. The job is done already. Is there still a problem?

You would need to install a Plug-in that supports jfif file format.  Photoshop does not support that image file format.

JFIF is just another name for JPEG files so this not even a conversion. The job is already done.

Yes! That's the point. Opening in Photoshop would degrade the JPEG as well as waste everyone's time.

Saving at new generation jpeg would degrade the images quality  opening it opens the image with image quality the file has.  Opening the file does not change the file.
