I cant remember how to do this basic task! But I wat to make this fabric image sit inside the bedhead graphic...(it's been a while since Ive photoshopped!)

If I can understand your request then the answer is yes. Put bedhead on layer above pattern and create layer mask for bedhead to hide portion where you want pattern below to appear.
