Error Message: file not found

Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me. 

When I try to open up ANY recent file I recieve the following error message: 

"Could not complete the request because file was not found"

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it still isn't working.

Any advice is much appreciated.

Can you provide into about your operating system and what Photoshop version you are running? Is it just your “open recent” menu that you are having trouble with? Did you save or move the images into another directory on your hard drive? If you open a file from a directory into Photoshop does it then appear in the “open recent” list? Can you open any image file outside of the program with any other application? Are there any screenshots you can share? We need more details to try to help!
