Export artboard to PDF crashes

I believe it is since the latest update, but can't verify that - every time I try to export my artboard to PDF it starts for about 2 seconds and then crashes totally.  Tried renaming the files to shorter file names, tried replacing the "FIX" files in the presets/scripts that I use so that the file size is not enormous back to the original files. Nothing helps.  Crashes regardless of whether I try to export one or more artboards. Crashes regardless of whether I use a zip output or not.

Please help.  This function worked perfectly prior to the update and it is a crucial part of my workflow.

Thanks!

It was the Photoshop update. I am exporting. I got tech support from
Adobe and after many troubleshooting steps, including checking video card
drivers, etc. he got no results. (Still crashed). Finally, he reset the
preferences in Photoshop and that seems to have cured the problem.
