How do I disable the annoying video windows that pop up when hovering over a tool?

Helpful! But no thanks! Monitor space is very valuable and this option is more for beginners users.

Go into Preferences > Tools and uncheck "Show Rich Tooltips" and if you want, uncheck "Show Tooltips", which are  the tiny labels you see when hovering over a Tool.
