I assume it's something in color settings?
Right now if it try to copy a Layer comp in RGB document with something saying , rgb 128,128,128 it pastes to alpha channel not 50% K but rather 59%.
How can I make it 50% and same exact combined/percieved intensity as in RGB when copy/paste to grayscale channels in any part of a spectrum?
Set in ColorSettings WorkSpace for Gray: Gray gamma 2.2.

Might you be confusing the L-Channel in Lab with grayscale?

No, What I am trying to do is "copy merged" of rgb layers and adjustments ( looking like grayscale in a RGB/16 document using default sRGB profile) and paste into an alpha channel of also RGB tga file
