Our work from home situation over the past year has brought on challenges with regards to getting multiple people to utilize the same correct color settings. So, we're looking to build a portal that will auto-check our profiles and settings to make sure they are consistent.
Using a Mac, I can see that color profiles are indexed inside of Finder info (CMD + I). Are color settings indexed at all on .PSD files? Any help would be appreciated, thank you!
You can use Bridge and the associated scripting to check for all sorts of metadata in a variety of Adobe file formats. That would be advisable, anyway, even for other files as there's always a chance default EXIF information is not correctly reflecting the latest state of a document and/ or the pertinent info may reside in a custom data field not accessible by standard apps.
