Image not saving with transparent background edit

I removed the background on image, making it a transparent background. It looks correct in PS, however, when I save to my PC, it then becomes a solid white background. This image does have 2 layers - one smaller image (a logo) sitting on a solid part of main image (a golf cart). Why doesn't the edited image with transparent background save to my files on PC?
