Missing Links Panel

Hi! I keep searching for the Links Panel in Photoshop and I can't find it.

Was there ever a Links Panel on Photoshop or am I confusing the Panels with InDesign?

There is no links panel in Photoshop, there is one in InDesign though.

Any idea why? It’s quite a helpful feature of InDesign and Illustrator. You’d think Photoshop users would find it helpful as well. Does Adobe illuminate anywhere in documentation?
