I do have the actual version of PS:

Adobe Photoshop Version: 22.4.2 20210602.r.242 a4f6042 x64 / Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit

but I don't have the option in the crop tool's control panel to crop with content aware fill.

Any suggestions or ideas?

Hi, I've actually been working with PS for a long time and all I know is that the icon was there before and just not after a reinstall. But thank you very much, your comment helped me - even if it wasn't very friendly - and I was able to find what settings need to be done: Edit / Preferences / Workspace / Enable Narrow Options Bar But for the help I would like to thank you sincerely anyway!

What are you talking about? It’s right there.

If you are not familiar with the Narrow Options Bar’s icons why are you using it?

I know I tend towards obnoxiousness but the icon was there in your screenshot:
