Numbers not getting input correctly.

I am a complete novice when it comes to photoshop. I was typing in the text "1995" and it keeps showing up as "1885"

Did I somehow mess up a setting? Or is this a glitch?

That is very odd. Is it the same with the numeric pad as with the top row keys? Does it work normally in other programs?
