Photoshop 22.4.1 crashes when saving Tiff or PSD

Photoshop crashes whenever I try to save a file as TIF or PSD, I deleted Photoshop and reinstalled it, but the problem persists. I currently have:  Adobe Photoshop Version: 22.4.1 20210518.r.211 7b18b4f x64

Oddly, I if I export a file as PNG, I can then save it conventionally.

Now I have to remember to export a PNG file whenever I start a new session, to make sure I'll be able to save it. Fortunatly I backup copy is automatically saved prior Phoshop closing.

We're sorry about the trouble with Photoshop 22.4.1 while trying to save Tiff & PSD files. Would you mind telling us if you are trying to save the files to an external drive? If yes, please try changing the location to a folder on your computers internal storage & check if the issue persists.

If the issue persists, you can try to reset the preferences of Photoshop using the steps mentioned here: https://adobe.ly/2Qzc0K3
