Photoshop 22.4.1 quits unexpectedly after an hour of use on Windows 10

Ever since I updated my version of photoshop to 22.41, it quits. I consistantly purge the cache. I'm using a windows 10 laptop with the latest graphics card driver. Memory is set to 80%. I have 8 gbs ram. Lately, my efficency has been dropping on files that are only 4mbs in size. I don't know what to do. I'm currently downloading the last good version of Photoshop. Version 22.2. On that version, everything works fine. I figured since I recently updated my drivers for my graphics card, I would upgrade to the latest version of photoshop. Too many bugs. Everytime Adobe updates it, there's more bugs than improvements.

Hi,

We're sorry about the experience due to Photoshop crashing. Would you mind telling us if you have tried updating to version 22.4.2 to check if you experience the same issue? Does the app crash while performing a specific task?

Please ensure you have all available Windows updates installed on the computer.

You can try disabling the option to Use Graphics Processor from the latest version by going to Preferences, then Performance. Once done, quit & relaunch Photoshop to check if that helps.

If it helps, you can check out: https://adobe.ly/2REKpru

If the issue persists, you can try to reset the preferences of Photoshop using the steps mentioned here: https://adobe.ly/2Qzc0K3

Please backup your settings prior to resetting the preferences. You can check: https://adobe.ly/2vNz6FG

Since you're experiencing the crashes after using the app for a while, you can also try optimizing the Preferences of Photoshop using the steps suggested here: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/optimize-photoshop-cc-performance.html

Let us know how it goes!

Regards,

Nikunj

Thanks for the reply. I downgraded back to version 22.2 and everything works fine. No crashes. I'm running the latest version of Windows and my graphics card has the updated drivers. I use Intel HD 4400. I even got Liquify to finally work correctly. Unfortunately, 22.2 is the most stable version for my system. I intend to buy a new laptop in the future and will try the latest version of photoshop. Until then, I'll stick with what works. Thanks again for the reply.
