I just updated Photoshop to 22.4 and now my external hard drive is not mounting at all and I have deadlines to hit...any reason a restart didn't help?

Hi there,

We're sorry that your external hard drive is somehow not mounting to your computer after updating the version 22.4 of Photoshop.

What is your operating system version and are you able to access the hard drive at the operating system level or other apps?

This discussion might be of some help: Thread

To get started with troubleshooting this issue in Photoshop would you mind restoring the preferences for Photoshop & see if it helps? See this article for reference: https://t.co/ulJI7cGn1G You may want to backup your settings beforehand: https://t.co/4dX7gkr36D

Thanks,

Akash

What happens if you uninstall Photoshop? It seems odd that an application update would affect a hard drive from mounting, but you never know.

Also, have you tried resetting the Preferences?
