PHOTOSHOP problem to select layer

i have installed the last version of photoshop, BUT big problem i cannot select any layer, my selector stays in position Hand (to move the canvas) BUT no the layer or text ???

Could you please post screenshots with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Options Bar, …) visible? 

Have you restarted Photoshop yet? 

What have you done for all-purpose trouble-shooting so far? 

Restoring Preferences after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved might be a good starting point:

Hi Garden,
have you checked that there are no locked levels? I found this thread, it might help you: Photoshop - unable to select layers by clicking on artwork after latest update - help!
