Are you looking for way to go back in history to state/snapshot when you open image?

You may be able to do that using Photoshop action. Record one action to create snapshot and name it Default, for example. Record another action to select Default snapshot in the History panel. Play action(s) using keyboard shortcuts. You can also manually rename snapshot created when you open image to Default or any other name then to play action to select Default/any other name snapshot in the History panel.

@Bojan Živković

I'm thinking along similar lines. Create an action to record the current state as a history snapshot with a specific name.

Then setup the Scripts Events Manager to automatically play the action whenever a doc is opened.

That screenshot appears to show a new, unsaved, untitled document?

Have you double checked your history options and or preferences/performance/history states level?

I think @c.pfaffenbichler is on point here @nzarb94260601 .

I've not found anything to refer you to.

I suggest you pop it onto the Photoshop Feedback forum as a feature request.
