"Could not initialize Photoshop because of a disk error."

I can't open- run Photoshop. It will crash with this error during startup.

Other Adobe programs work ok.

I install an older photoshop version (v21.2.9) and it's working perfectly.

Windows 10 pro.

Photoshop 22.4.2

Any ideas?

I did manage to run but only with: Holding ctrl + alt + shift and then starting Photoshop.

But after some functions not working (I can drag files into Photoshop. I need to open manually from the program every file I want to work with)
After I close it won't start again.
It will pop:

And after what if you start Photoshop it will pop the same error again...

Hi there,

We're sorry for the disk error. Could you please check the free space available on the C drive? Restart your machine and try installing Photoshop and let us know the status.

Thanks,

Mohit

Sorted, at last.

A little history for future users. Hopes it will help and save your precious time.

Disk space Ok (more than 200GB free space), Simple uninstall-install didn't help. Resetting settings, no luck.

I did "Clean Reinstall":

1. Uninstall Photoshop

2. Manually remove leftovers (I removed related Photoshop Folder):
  a. Windows 10: Users/[user name]/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop [version]
  b. [disc your program are installed. mine is C:]\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2021.

3. Restart your PC.

4. Install Photoshop:

  a. Disable all imports and etc. on installation "popup"

  b. Same on the second "pop up" window.

After installation Photoshop started without problem and errors. At least for me...
