Photoshop keeps freezing!

I click on the font tool and photoshop shuts down

Why when I click on the font tool -- which I use immensely -- my CS4 immediately shut downs ? Adobe is basically laughing at me when I contact them because they don't support a client. Grrrrr. It crashes. Re-install doesn't work and can't tell me how to delete corrupt fonts.

This is a very old version of Photoshop (over 12 years old) and it not work under a recent OS version.

Had zero problems until yesterday.

Do you know how I can delete "corrupt" fonts? Appreciate your help

Do a Google search for "delete corrupted fonts on [insert your operating system here]."

Plenty of both. CS4 and Windows 10. I've tried the reset

All I want is my font tool to work!

Another thought since you can't even click the Type tool is to try opening the Character panel first and change the typeface to something benign and see if you can type.

Before you change the typeface, please tell us what typeface Photoshop is trying to use. One possibility is that typeface is causing the issue.
