Hello,

I'm looking for a method to erase very easily cables or lines from the pictures. Recently I discovered an app that do that in a very fast and easy way and I loved it. I'm searching for something similar on Photoshop, because the standard strument doesn't work so simply.

If nothing like that it exists, it could be interesting if Adobe will do something similar. I prefer do not to mention the app name... but if it's possible I'll write the name.

Thanks a lot.

if that doesn´t help, search youbube for removing objects like mentioned in the answer above.

Retouch a photo to remove distracting objects

If one approach isn't working as expected, there are many other options including Spot Healing Brush, Healing Brush, Content-aware Fill, Clone Stamp, and/or Patch.

What's the other software?  Paint.NET?  Pixlr?  Affinity Photo?  PhotoWorks?  GIMP?

If there's something you find to be easier, be sure to share it here.  It may help someone else.

Thanks a lot @HeikoKnoll. I didn't know the fact that I could use "shift" to continue the erasing. I'll use it asap 🙂

@Giulio5CE2,

The Eraser tool is a destructive approach to editing images and not usually recommended.  On the other hand, Masking is a more flexible, non-destructive method that gives you greater control over your work.  Remember, Photoshop is not a toy.  It's pro-level software aimed at serious graphic designers & artists.

Amateurs use Photoshop Elements which has fewer bells & whistles and a much easier learning curve.

Goodbye & best of luck with your project! 🙂

@Nancy OShea thank you for the feedback. I'm a freelancer photographer since more than 10 years. I edited many many photo shoots with these tools. Mainly hotels. I know them very well. I saw also the improvement in these years and I'm very happy to use them.

Anyway in some cases they doesn't works as expected or not in very easy mode. For example erasing cables behind a desk or a TV. This is the reason why I written here. I can't wait to test it again with the "shift" on. I never hear about this possibility before and I think that it will helps me a lot.

Thanks.

Thanks a lot. I always used all these tools. But I always find a little bit uncomfortable the fact that I had to draw a straight line with the mouse. I'm not so accurate with the mouse! Maybe the solution proposed by @HeikoKnoll could work.

The app that I was referring for is TouchRetouch.

Use the content-aware fill, a common feature in adobe Photoshop, this will help.
