Select and Mask not working after the new update

Hello everyone,

I am able to select and create a new mask, however when I enter "select and mask" none of the brushes do anything.  I've reset all of my preferences and restarted. No luck

On my system S&M preview works when I enter select and mask with or without a selection but not if I enter it by double clicking a layer mask
