Unable to save as a jpg. Only allowed three options; Photoshop, Large document format, or TiFF.

While editing pictures as I usually do, I save each image three times. The first save is a photoshop document, then I remove my logo and save as a Jpg to give to my customers. The third save is downsized and I turn the logo back on and save as a JPG for social media. Today, that is not working. I can do the first save, but then when I go to save as a JPG that is not an option. It only has three options, Photoshop, Large Document format, or TIFF.  I tried resetting the presets, that did not work. I tried changing the color mode from RGB to CMYK. That works, but you have to change it everytime you save an image. What can I do to fix this?

Hi

Adobe have change how the Save As function works in version 22.4, so assuming you're on that version take a look here.

You could  Programs a script that basically works like Photoshop 'Savs As" worked in the past. The script would have a different UI than  good old "Save AS"a Photoshop which used a system dialog.  The script would have a ScripUI interface quite like Adobe Script "Export Layers to Files. Save the Document in the image file format you want to save. In fact I use  code from Adobe  'Export Layer to Files' creating the script for my personal use.

Change the title in the dialog  to Save As and process the document. It will be a Plug-in Script.

I had the same issue, and thanks to the users below giving the "save a copy" advice, all is fine.  Silly/unuseful change though, in my opinion. Just ceates confusion for no reason.
