why the program looks like it doesn´t work!!!

I´m working with big files to impress in large format and suddenly the program just freezes. No way to respond again. I have to shut it down. Why happend that?? or would be my computer??

Which version of Photoshop and OS?

How much RAM and spare hard disk capacity do you have?

What is the size of the document?

Have you tried resetting the  Photoshop preferences?

If you're producing artwork for something that's viewed from a distance, such as a poster, the resolution can be much lower than the usual 300PPI, which will make the files much easier to handle on your computer.
