Yes, but with two limitations:

1- You can't work with layers in 16-bits

2 - Many tools and local edits won't work in 16 bits.

That said, practically all global edits and filters do work in  16-bits.

The most important way to take advantage of 16 bits is to use the ACR camera raw converter plugin which works internally in 16-bits and wide color space (Prophoto). That works not only with raw files but also with jpegs, psd or tiffs.

I am unable to restore my perpetual licence copy od Photoshop CS6 on my new WIN 11 computer as I do not have installation disks, so I was hoping to be able to use NIK 6 in Elelments 2023 and also print 16 bit files from there two.  It seems that I will be able to do this, so I will consider buying both programs.

The CS6 installation files can be downloaded from:

Install then enter your serial number.

Thank you.  I have one other question please.  My CS6 was installed on my WIN 7 computer.  This is now having motherboard problems so has been abandoned, so I cannot de-activate it from there to activate it on my new WIN 11 computer. Is there a way around this issue?  Thanks.

Contact Adobe Customer services and ask for an "activation count reset". Often this is refused, but it is your only hope.

And if the agent refuses to do it, exit chat and try it again, and you may get an agent that will do it.
