25000 pictures not shown

My pc on windows 10 with elements 9 shows that there are 25040 pictures shown and 25000 pictures not shown

 How do I access the pictures not shown ?

I no longer have a version as old as Elements 9 on my machine and forget how it displays this information.  So can you give us a screenshot of where you are getting the information from.  Right now, the only place I suggest you look is in the View menu.  Here is the menu from the oldest version I have which is Elements 12.  However, there was a major change in Elements 11, so I don't know whether you may be seeing something different.  Look at the Media Types menu and the Hidden files menu.  Other possibilities would be to expand stacks and version sets if you have them. 

If that does not help you, I would need more information from you.
