Adding hair from one photo to another

Explorer ,
Oct 09, 2018 Oct 09, 2018

I have photoshop elements 2018.  I am attempting to add hair from one photo to another.  I am about ready to toss my computer through the wall.   People say it is easy but when I try to follow their instructions it does not work.

Does anyone know how to do it?

I would be very appreciative.

Elements has fewer tools and features then Photoshop.  You should use the correct forum. Photoshop Elements

How one does it depends on tools, feature and image content.  There is no one set way.  Learn about masking hair in Elements

Oh my gosh.  It worked!   However, I don't have a photo taken at the exact same angle and light as the one I want to add the hair to.  Same day, but not quite the same light.  I am trying different pictures and doing some clone tool work.

I am just really excited I managed it at all.

thanks again!

With the hair on a separate layer, you may be able to rotate it a bit with the transform tool (CTRL + T). Adjust the lighting with a Brightness/contrast adjustment layer.

Thanks for the suggestion.   Adjusting the brightness made all the difference.  I really did not think I would be able to accomplish this but it turned out great.  Thanks again.  Very satisfying to get something right in photoshop.
