I have been working with Adobe Elements 13 (Organizer, Editor & Premiere elements) for quite some time without troubles.
However some time ago, it started to use all internal memory, which makes computer unable to use.
I am running Adobe Elements 13 at an iMac with 8 Gb internal memory
With Adobe Editor and Premiere Elements i do not have any real issues.
But problem is with organizer.
i have about 55.000 foto's in the database.
When i start up computer, and start up the Elements organizer, and even when i don not work with the organizer (or even do not work at the computer at all), the program starts to increase the usage of internal memory.
When 8 Gb is used, it will use swap memory, until all free space at hard disc is used.
then will get errors that hardest is full, and need to remove files form hardisk !!
After reading some posts at this site i have changed the following settings
at Adobe Elements Editor/Preferences\Performance
- limit the memory usage to 66%, or 4,5Gb
- i have changed the scratch disk from the internal hard disk to an external harddisk
I have moved the database from Adobe Elements organizer from the harddisk to the external harddisk
and i have switched-off the people recognition
All these changes did not solve the problem at all.
in latest attempt the Adobe Elements 13 peaked to use 58Gb internal memory !!
The only thing i did after a restart of the computer was to start Adobe Elements 13 Organizer. I left the computer and returned 1 hour later, and noticed this incredible internal memory usage !!?
In most cases computer does not freeze or crash, but it takes about 5 minutes before it reacts at any keyboard function ...
any help / advice to solve this problem ?

some additions
when opening a new / empty catalog, this problem does not appear. so it only appears with my catalog of 55.000 pictures
removing the program from the computer and installing it again, is not solving the problem.
